Baking + Gift Wrapping + All Things Christmas

Hi! Happy almost Friday! Hope you are having a great day. I spent mine baking and wrapping presents (and watching Hallmark Christmas movies of course)!

Every year my mom adopts a few families from church and buys gifts for them. I volunteered to help wrap them and I’m going with her to deliver them this evening. So many presents!

Then I made these delicious peanut butter cookies that are seriously so simple to make.

All you do is put peanut butter between 2 Ritz crackers, put them in the freezer so the peanut butter gets hard, making them easier to dip. Then take them out and dip in vanilla almond bark and drizzle with chocolate almond bark. Super simple, but always a hue hit! I mean you can never go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate, right?!

Random fact: when I was a kid we called these “Santa Cookies” and I sill do to this day because Peanut Butter Ritz Cookies just doesn’t have the same ring. The reason they got this name is because every year these are the cookies we left out for Santa. No matter what other cookies we had baked, we had to leave these. We were convinced these were Santa’s favorite cookies. As I got older and kids at school stopped believing in Santa, I continued to believe because I thought “there is no way mom could eat all those cookies so Santa must have come.” Many years later, I learned she did not I fact eat them all, but just put them back in the container haha!

Now I am off to make some Red Velvet Cake Balls. Mmm. I will share that recipe soon (it’s another super simple one, but also amazingly delicious).

Did you have one specific type of cookie you left for Santa?
Do you enjoy baking Christmas (or holiday) cookies? What’s your favorite?
